The United States raised its ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) fee from $40 to $40.27, effective 1 January 2026. This is a small inflation-linked adjustment following a much larger jump from $21 to $40 that took effect after the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The new fee comprises a $4 processing charge and a $36.27 authorisation charge.
